Privacy Policy

Solune is a cycle-synced nutrition app for women, operated by Solune Labs LLC ("we", "us", "our"). We take your privacy seriously — especially because you trust us with sensitive health data. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how it's protected.

Account information: Email address and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth).

Health & cycle data: Menstrual cycle dates, phase tracking, mood, energy, symptoms, and notes you log in the app.

Nutrition data: Food logs, macro goals, calorie entries, and meal photos you choose to upload.

Device permissions: Camera (for barcode scanning and meal photo analysis) and photo library (only when you choose to upload an image). We never access your camera or photos without your explicit action.

Your data is used solely to provide the Solune app experience:

• Personalising macro targets to your cycle phase
• Generating AI-powered food insights from meal photos
• Tracking your nutrition and cycle history over time
• Providing phase-based supplement and food recommendations

We do not sell your data. We do not use your health data for advertising.

We take the security of your data seriously. All data stored by Solune is protected by the following measures:

• Encrypted at rest: All data is stored using AES-256 encryption via Supabase.
• Encrypted in transit: All communication between the app and our servers uses TLS/HTTPS — your data is never sent unencrypted.
• Passwords: Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text. Even we cannot see your password.
• Row-level security: Database rules ensure users can only ever access their own data — not other users'.

As the service provider, we may access aggregated or individual data for the purposes of operating, maintaining, and improving the service, and to provide customer support. We do not access your data for any other purpose.

Supabase: We use Supabase to store your account and app data securely. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit.

OpenAI: When you choose to scan a meal photo or use AI-powered food analysis, the image is sent to OpenAI's API to analyse its nutritional content. By using these features, you consent to your food photo being processed by OpenAI. Images are not stored by OpenAI beyond the API call and are never used to train their models. We do not send cycle or health data to OpenAI. No personal identity information is shared with these services. You can always log meals manually without using AI features.

RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to manage subscription purchases and verify your premium membership status. RevenueCat processes purchase receipts on your behalf.

We automatically collect basic usage data to keep the app stable and performant, including device type, operating system version, app version, and crash reports. This data is not linked to your health or nutrition data.

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active.

Deleting your account: You can delete your account and all associated data directly in the app under Profile > Data & Exports > Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and permanent — all meals, cycle logs, daily entries, weight history, and profile data are removed from our servers and cannot be recovered.

You may also request deletion by emailing support@getsolune.com.

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You can export all your data from the app under Profile > Data & Exports > Export My Data. For any other requests, email us at support@getsolune.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Solune is not intended for users under the age of 12. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 12.

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use of Solune after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Solune is a wellness and nutrition tracking app intended for general informational purposes only. The content provided in the app — including cycle phase insights, macro recommendations, supplement suggestions, and food guidance — does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making changes to your diet, supplement routine, or health practices, particularly if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or are taking medication. Do not disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it based on information provided by Solune.
